The first BBL trade (post auction) is in the books.  On its face, it appears the Sundance Kids got the better of the low-end roster shuffle because Parra should see everyday at-bats during the absence of Gomez in the Brewers outfield.  However, Nitros’ management only had to review a few pieces of evidence to know that Matt Duffy was the better end of this bargain.

First, Matt Duffy’s nickname is DuffMan and he has the sticker on his bats to prove it.

Second, Matt Duffy loves Call of Duty…with his cat.

Some say this is only a ploy by the injury-riddled Nitros team to draw attendance in light of the team’s poor performance.  The following tweet is given as evidence of that fact.

Nitros management merely states “We are always grinding (not in an illegal way) and trying to play them one day at a time.”  The quote has nothing to do with the aforementioned trade, but apparently all members of the Nitros management have cue cards from which to read pre-printed responses.
